Meet the Team
At your Service
Ciara Treacy – Hotel Manager
Moved back home from Dublin to help with the family business in 2009 and has been “helping” ever since.
Ciara is a very proud Killarney woman and loves the great outdoors that is Killarney’s backdrop.
When she is out of the hotel, she can be found hiking Cardiac Hill with her dog Mylo or cycling Muckross and Dinis in Killarney National Park.
Top tip: Take an early morning stroll into the National Park across the road from the hotel and catch a glimpse of the native red deer roaming the lands. Grab a hot chocolate in Reidy’s and watch the world go by from the front window.
Eleanor O’ Doherty – Resident Manager
Eleanor has been part of The Ross team for 30 years and is mother to three girls – Catriona, Chloe and Eva. Eva is the last of the girls to do her time in The Lane Bar! Outside of the Hotel, Eleanor can be found walking in the Demense each morning with her dog Buddy.
Top Tip: Head to Bricin Restaurant in Killarney and make sure to opt for the “Boxty”.
Antoine Minelli– Head Chef
Antoine, originally from France, developed a love for Ireland back in 2003 when he visited as a student. He was only too delighted to return to our shores in 2005 and embark on his career as a chef. Over the years he has expertly blended his French culinary skills with his passion for foraging, artisan produce and local ingredients, and has quicky become a firm favourite for visitors and locals who dine at The Ross.
When he isn’t creating magnificent dishes in the kitchen, Anoine loves spending time with his family and exploring the Killarney National Park. We know he loves everything about being “Irish” … but we still haven’t convinced him to support Ireland in the Rugby world cup!
Top Tip: A scenic walk in the National Park with family or friends.
Roger Harman – Operations Manager
A local Muckross boy!
Roger is passionate about everything food and drink related and their delivery to the customer.
In his spare time, Roger’s interests range from playing cards with friends to yoga with Nave Yoga to golfing the Killeen course at Killarney Golf and Fishing Club and of course spending time with family.
Top Tip: Killarney and Kerry has the best hiking and hill walking trails to be found anywhere. Mangerton, Carrantuohill and “Cardiac Hill” beside Torc Waterfall is simply amazing for that “Sunday Stroll”. The steps to climb are worth it for the view. Afterwards head to Killarney Brewing Company for a some wood fired pizza and a local IPA.
Sheila O’Sullivan – Director of Sales & Marketing
Having spent many years in the beautiful Shelbourne Hotel in Dublin, Sheila went on to head up the Sales and Marketing Department at The Marker Hotel. Fulfilling her long term plans to return to her hometown of Killarney, Sheila now represents The Killarney Park and The Ross both nationally and internationally. Sheila passionately spreads the word about the beauty of Killarney and the bespoke travel experiences offered by our two hotels.
