Meet the Team

Roger Harman – Hotel Manager

Roger joined our team in 2019 and, through his dedication and passion, has been promoted to Hotel Manager this year (2024). A local Muckross native, Roger has a deep-seated love for everything food and drink-related, ensuring our guests have an exceptional culinary experience during their stay.

In his spare time, Roger enjoys a variety of activities, from playing cards with friends to practicing yoga with Nave Yoga. He is also an avid golfer, often found at the Killeen course at Killarney Golf and Fishing Club, and cherishes spending quality time with his family.

Top Tip: Killarney and Kerry boast some of the best hiking and hill walking trails you’ll find anywhere. Mangerton, Carrauntoohil, and “Cardiac Hill” beside Torc Waterfall offer breathtaking views that make the climb worthwhile. After a rewarding hike, Roger recommends heading to Killarney Brewing Company for delicious wood-fired pizza and a local IPA.

Antoine Minelli – Head Chef

Antoine, originally from France, developed a love for Ireland back in 2003 when he visited as a student. He was only too delighted to return to our shores in 2005 and embark on his career as a chef. Over the years he has expertly blended his French culinary skills with his passion for foraging, artisan produce, and local ingredients, and has quickly become a firm favourite for visitors and locals who dine at The Ross.

When he isn’t creating magnificent dishes in the kitchen, Antoine loves spending time with his family and exploring the Killarney National Park. We know he loves everything about being “Irish” … but we still haven’t convinced him to support Ireland in the Rugby World Cup!

Top Tip: A scenic walk in the National Park with family or friends.

Sheila O’Sullivan – Director of Sales & Marketing

Having spent many years in the beautiful Shelbourne Hotel in Dublin, Sheila went on to head up the Sales and Marketing Department at The Marker Hotel. Fulfilling her long-term plans to return to her hometown of Killarney, Sheila now represents The Killarney Park and The Ross both nationally and internationally. Sheila passionately spreads the word about the beauty of Killarney and the bespoke travel experiences offered by our two hotels.

Jovana Jandric – Operations Manager

Jovana oversees the daily operations with her extensive expertise and exceptional organizational skills. She ensures that every aspect of our hotel’s functionality runs smoothly and efficiently. Known for her approachable demeanor, Jovana loves engaging with our guests, many of whom appreciate her personal touch and often return just to see her smiling face.

Joanna Michniak – Accommodation Manager

Joanna arrived in Killarney in 2006 from Poland and has been an integral part of our team ever since. Through her dedication and hard work, she has risen to the position of Accommodation Manager. Joanna leads the housekeeping team with her extensive experience and exceptional organizational skills. Joanna and her team are always available to address any concerns or special requests, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay for all our guests.

Martina Scannell – Front Desk

Martina leads the Front Desk team with her vast experience and superb guest relations skills. Martina’s team is always on hand to assist with any queries or last-minute requests and also loves to have a chat with our guests, many of whom are familiar faces to the team.

Conor O’Brien – Head of Beverage

Conor, our Head of Beverage, brings his extensive expertise and passion for mixology to lead our dynamic beverage team. Conor’s team excels in crafting exquisite drinks and ensuring that each guest enjoys a memorable experience with every sip. Always ready to recommend the perfect cocktail or wine pairing, Conor and his team are dedicated to delighting our guests, many of whom have become regulars thanks to their warm and welcoming service.
