Meet the Team at The Ross Luxury Hotel Killarney

Ciara Treacy - Resident Manager  Ciara Treacy

Moved back home from Dublin to help with the family business in 2009 and has been “helping” ever since.

Ciara is a very proud Killarney woman and loves the great outdoors that is Killarney’s backdrop.

When she is out of the hotel, she can be found hiking Torc Mountain with her dog Max or cycling in the National Park.

Top tip for guests: Take an early morning stroll into the National Park across the road from the hotel and catch a glimpse of the native   red deer roaming the lands. Try brunch in DYNE at the weekends, their chocolate chip pancakes are the best.

Eleanor O’ Doherty

Eleanor has been part of The Ross team for 30 years and is mother to three girls – Catriona, Chloe and Eva. Catriona and Chloe are part of the same Lane Café Bar team and we expect Eva to join the team sometime soon! Outside of the Hotel, Eleanor can be found walking in the Demense each morning with her dog Buddy.

Top Tip: Head to Bricin Restaurant in Killarney and make sure to opt for the "Boxty".

Ian McMonagle

Our Head Chef Ian is a proud Mayo man now residing in the Kingdom. His passions are as you would expect, Food and all things Gastronomy related – you may not know that our Ian is also a very keen golfer. And as you know, there are great places to tee off in Killarney.

Almost six years since he first made his move to the kingdom, Patrick is a native of Elphin, Co. Roscommon. He first found his way to Killarney through playing music with various bands and fell for the place instantly.  Pat starting working in The Lane Café Bar as a Mixologist on a work placement with Athlone Institute of Technology following on to  the role of Bar Manager shortly after and from there he took on his current challenge of Operations Manager. He is a big fan of testing new cocktail recipes and all the things that the great outdoors of Killarney has to offer.

Top Tip: If you’re into fitness be sure to check out the “Run Killarney” marathon and take part in the world’s most beautiful road race.

Miriama Ondrejickova

miriama web

Miriama has been living in Killarney for ten years, and is a native of Slovakia. She previously was employed in our sister property The Killarney Park Hotel and made the move to The Ross in April 2015 as the Duty Manager. In her spare time Miriama enjoys cycling, running, hiking, fishing and all things fitness and sport related - no surprise that she has completed the Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle and the Killarney Marathon many times!

Top Tip: Killarney and Kerry has the best hiking and hill walking trails to be found anywhere. Mangerton, Carrantouhill and "Cardiac Hill" beside Torc Waterfall is simply amazing for that "Sunday Stroll". The steps to climb are worth it for the view.
